Customer-friendly ordering channels created a large administrative workload.
Staff had to interpret messages and PDFs, identify products, re-key quantities and customer details and enter the order into another system. Every manual transcription introduced another opportunity for error.
What we implemented
AI became an interpretation layer between the customer's chosen ordering method and the company's existing order process. It extracts relevant fields, understands natural-language instructions, checks information against known customer and product data, and creates structured order data.
- Process email and messaging orders
- Read purchase-order PDFs and extract line items
- Convert telephone-order notes or transcripts
- Identify customers, products, quantities and delivery instructions
- Flag ambiguous information for review
- Create orders after validation
- Import into existing ERP or CRM platforms
